About ROC Tallahassee

Here at ROC Tallahassee, we see the value and worth in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2022, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: peer suport, empowerment, education, and advocacy.

Dealing with the challenges of mental health and substance use requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to be vulnerable. ROC Tallahassee emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.

Meet Our Board of Directors

Cody Evans

President

Cody Evans serves as the Outreach Worker for Oxford House Inc., a sober group living organization based in Tallahassee. In this role, he facilitates access to affordable housing with structured support for individuals seeking a fresh start.

Having battled addiction for over eight years, Cody faced profound personal losses and hardships including homelessness and incarceration. His turning point came on July 19, 2022, when he embraced a journey of recovery that transformed his life.

Cody transitioned into his first Oxford House on April 14, 2023, quickly becoming a beacon of recovery and actively supporting fellow residents and neighboring houses through education and training. Recognizing his dedication and impact, Cody was appointed Outreach Worker on February 1, 2024. In this capacity, he extends the same opportunities for recovery that were pivotal in his own life.

Drawing from his own experiences in long-term recovery, Cody brings a deep empathy and commitment to guiding others on their paths to wellness. He firmly believes that with the power of collective recovery we all can and do recover.

Amanda Ingrassia

Secretary

Amanda Ingrassia is a Florida State University alumna having earned both a bachelors and masters degree in social work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She is currently the Intake and Eligibility supervisor at the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) and pursing a second masters degree in administration at the University of West Florida.

Amanda became committed to serving in the local mental health and substance use recovery communities as she embraced and deepened her own recovery journey in 2020.

Together, Amanda and her husband, Andrew, are actively involved in their community in Tallahassee, recreation, self-care, and challenging themselves to grow professionally and academically.

Andrew Ingrassia

Executive Director

Andrew Ingrassia is Certified Recovery Peer Specialist, holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Master of Social Work degree.

He is committed to service. He has served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician with the US Army in Operation Enduring Freedom. After his service, Andrew has dedicated himself to community service through various roles in health care, health care regulation, social services, and peer work.

He has embraced the idea that he his living a life of recovery since 2017 when he began active treatment for his mental health and substance use challenges. Together, Andrew and his wife, Amanda, are actively involved in their community in Tallahassee, recreation, self-care, and challenging themselves to grow professionally and academically.
